Conor is the young Celtic prince the whole series kind of revolves around. It's kind of complicated, but here goes.

On the night of his brother's wedding, a rival clan, led by King Gar, butchered his whole family and everyone in his clan (except Fergus, who was loopy in the wine cellar) but Conor wasn't killed, because he was away with his girlfriend, Claire (lucky stiff)
in the woods. But adding one more plot kink, Claire is the daughter of Gar, the man who just killed Conor's whole family. So the next night Conor goes back and meets Claire again, but her father had followed her, and Gar tries to kill Conor, but instead of killing Conor, Claire took the sword for him. So with his family and girlfriend gone, Conor goes with the wizard Galen, and becomes a leader at the Sanctuary.

Let me see, what else is there to tell about him? He likes to wear tight leather, and he likes it when a girl sucks poison out
   of his shoulder. Long story, don't ask. He loves children, and unfortunately seems to have some kind of attraction to
  Fergus' daughter Molly. I wish Cat would just kick her ass and get it over with! Well, I guess that's all there is to tell.

 Heath Ledger plays Conor, the main character in Roar. He is 19 years old, his birthday being April 4, 1979. He was born in Perth, Australia, but moved to Los Angeles a few months ago. He has curly blonde hair, and gorgeous brown eyes.  Although nothing has been printed about his height or weight, a few fans put their heads together and estimate that he's about 5'10" and 150 pounds.  Roar is the first time American audiences have seen him. All of his work has been in Australia. He has appeared in two movies, Blackrock, and Paws. I've never seen either, but I hear that he plays the bad guy in Blackrock, and that in one scene we actually get to see a little bit of Heath hinney! Unfortunately, the film hasn't been released on video in the U.S. yet, but guess who will be first in line when it does!

His television credits include Ship to Shore, Bush Patrol, Corrigan, and Sweat. He also has a very extensive list of
 theater credits including Hamlet, Royal Hunt of the Sun, The Boyfriend, Bugsy Malone, The Name of the Father, and the title role in Peter Pan.

In the spring of 1999, he will be in the film "10 Things I Hate About You", a messed up version of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" as the main character, Patrick Verona (petrucio). Now there's cool for you. That's my favorite play, (It's the name... my name's Kate, remember???) and it'll be starring my favorite actor!!

A quick moment, while I get Shakespearean on you...
(these are my favorite lines from the whole play...)

"The Taming of the Shrew"
Petrucio:
Good morrow Kate, for that's your name, I hear.

Kate:
Well have you heard, but something hard of hearing: They call me
Katherine that do talk of me.

(this next one is my favorite line)
Pet:
You lie, in faith; for you are call'd plain Kate,
and bonny Kate, and sometimes Kate the curst;
But Kate, the prettiest Kate in Chriestendom,
kate of Kate Hall, my super-dainty Kate,
For dainties are all Kates, and therefore, Kate,
Take this of me, Kate of my consolation;
Hearing thy mildness praised in every town,
thy virtues spoke of, and thy beauty sounded,
Yet not so deeply as to thee belongs,
Myself am moved to woo you for my wife.
(I almost have it memorized, too!)

Kate:
Moved! in good time: let him that moved you hither
Remove you hence.

Even more stuff about "10 Things" than you ever wanted to know.
